Privacy Policy
Short version: we do not ask you to create an account, we do not run ads on this pages.dev experiment, and the PDF files you convert are not uploaded. Rendering runs in your browser. This policy says what that includes, what hosting can still see, and how to reach us about wording. A hands-on Network check is on the trust page.
PDFs and the downloads
When you use the PDF to image tool, the file you pick is read with the browser File API. It stays in the tab’s memory. Page ranges, format choices, and scale stay there too. The tool does not post those bytes to us, and it does not offer a box where you paste a remote PDF URL for us to fetch.
Downloads are image blobs or a ZIP created in the tab (JSZip). Closing the tab, reloading, or pressing Clear drops the selection. We do not have a copy to restore, email back, or delete on request, because we never stored the file. If you later attach those JPGs or PNGs to email or a ticket, that send is between you and that service.
Guides that expand the same facts: why local PDF→image tools matter, plus the job pages for JPG for email, slides as images, and form screenshots.
Do not send us the PDFs by email either, unless we have explicitly asked for a non-sensitive sample. The contact address is for wording and bugs, not for an upload side door.
What we do not collect in the tool
- No account, password, or profile.
- No PDF archive and no conversion history on our servers.
- No advertising scripts and no ad profile of the files you process.
- No OCR text, because the tool does not read text out of the pages for indexing.
- No sale of personal information tied to conversion — there is nothing from the PDFs to sell.
Formats are standard PDF (.pdf) in; PNG and/or JPG out. Encrypted or damaged files may fail in the browser. That rejection is a product limit, not a scan of your disk.
Analytics
We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first analytics service that does not use cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect personal data. It records aggregate metrics such as page views and performance. Cloudflare’s own docs say Web Analytics does not collect or use your visitors’ personal data. It is not a record of your documents or of the images you download. See Cloudflare Web Analytics and Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Hosting and request logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process standard request logs (for example IP address, user agent, and the URL of the page) for security and delivery. Those logs do not include your PDF payloads. Fetching /assets/vendor/pdf.min.js, the worker, or /assets/vendor/jszip.min.js is the page loading its libraries, not an upload of your documents. Response headers for this site include a Content-Security-Policy with script-src 'self' that does not list an advertising script host.
Mail you choose to send
If you email contact@localpdfimg.pages.dev, we receive whatever you put in that message, the same as any other mailbox. That is optional and separate from convert. You can use the tool without ever writing to us. Please do not include sensitive PDFs in mail; describe the problem instead. See contact.
Children
This site is a general utility for turning PDF pages you already have into images. It is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children. There is no account signup aimed at a minor audience. If you believe a child sent personal information to the contact address, write to that same address so we can delete the message from the mailbox.
Changes
We may update this policy by changing this page. The date of a change will be visible in the public deployment of the site. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised wording for later visits. Material changes about ads, accounts, or PDF handling would need an honest rewrite here and on about.
