Terms of Use

LocalPdfImg is a free browser tool that converts PDF pages to PNG or JPG images on your device. It is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. Results are for practical use. Check the images yourself before you share them, print them, or file them. These terms are the rules for using the site. They are not legal advice, tax advice, or a support contract.

Using the site

You may use the PDF to image tool for personal or commercial work with PDFs you own or are allowed to use. Do not try to disrupt the site, break the static hosting, or probe it as if it stored user files. It does not. There is no account to attack and no document bucket to scrape.

You are responsible for the files you select. We do not review them, host them, or grant you rights in them. Do not process documents you are not allowed to handle. A local convert does not make a copied page image lawful. Redact secrets yourself before you drop a packet; the tool does not redact.

Your documents and the images you download

Processing happens in your browser. We do not receive the files and we cannot restore them if you close the tab or lose the download. Keep your own copy of the ZIP or each image if you need it later. Renaming the download is your job.

The result is a raster render of selected pages. It is not a certified archive, not an OCR transcript, not a searchable PDF, and not a signed document. Interactive forms and digital signatures are not preserved as fields — only as pixels. Guides for those jobs: JPG for email, slides as images, form screenshots. How to verify that processing does not upload is on trust.

Limits and out-of-scope features

LocalPdfImg does not claim OCR accuracy, e-sign validity, password cracking, DRM bypass, certified redaction, legal advice, e-discovery readiness, print-shop DPI guarantees, or regulatory compliance (including any 等保 certification). Browser memory and CPU limit file size and page count. Soft guidance is about 40 MiB per PDF and about 50 pages rendered per run. A device can fail under those numbers. Word, images-as-input, remote URL fetch, SVG export, merge/split, and editable PowerPoint recovery are out of scope for v1. We do not promise a specific attachment size for your mail host.

The site is a pages.dev experiment. Pages can change, and the experiment can go away. There is no service-level agreement and no paid tier hiding behind the free tool. This version does not run advertising scripts.

The software in the page

Page rendering uses pdf.js under its Apache-2.0 license, and multi-page packing uses JSZip under its MIT license, in your browser. Those licenses cover the libraries. They do not give you rights in the documents you process, and they do not make us the author of your PDF or of the images you download. Site text, layout, and branding on localpdfimg.pages.dev remain ours to publish and update. Your documents remain yours.

Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for lost files, unreadable PDFs, blurry or truncated images, mail rejections, printing surprises, or decisions you make from a raster page capture. The tool runs on your device with the memory and browser you bring. If the tab fails, lower scale, select fewer pages, or use a smaller file. Contact for factual corrections is contact@localpdfimg.pages.dev; that mailbox is not an emergency recover service.

Changes

We may update these terms by changing this page. Continued use after the page changes means you accept the update. If that is not acceptable, stop using the site. How the files are handled is also described in the privacy policy, on about, and on trust.
